Just wow! Haunted on Bourbon Street has been nominated for Best Paranormal Romance-Ghost 2011 at The Romance Reviews.

The Romance Review

Go here to vote and to see all the nominees in all categories. Congratulations to everyone! Some of my favorite authors of all time are nominated in their respective categories. Adrian Phoenix, Richelle Mead, Ilona Andrews, Kim Harrison, Jeaniene Frost. It’s truly humbling to even be listed on the same page as these amazing authors.  Voting opened today and runs until Nov 30th.

You know, I was just thrilled when The Romance Reviews picked my book up to be reviewed. I never imaged it would be nominated for anything.  Is this my cue to say it’s just an honor to be nominated? Na. Go vote! 😀

It’s here! Haunted on Bourbon Street Marble

Best. Hubby. Ever! I asked Greg a while ago to make some murrine of the image on the cover of my book. He did make it and it’s been sitting on the work bench waiting for me to get time to make something with it. I did of course ask him to make a marble, but he balked and sort of ignored my request.

Okay. No problem.

So, imagine my surprise when he pulled this out of the kiln this morning:

I love it! It is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for when I asked him to make me one a month ago. One side has the silhouette image and the other side has houses with silhouette ghost people.  The bottom has skulls and flowers.

And on the top: The word Bourbon.

Again, I have to say, I love it! Thanks, Greg.

I’ve put it on eBay with the other marbles and have included a signed copy of the book  in the listing. You can check it out here.

Book Recommendation Thursday–Haunted on Bourbon Street

Thursday morning cliché: A picture is worth a thousand words.

Yesterday my first print run arrived. I thought it was cool the day the proof got here. Now imagine how cool it was a to have a box of books show up? Pure glee.

Sadly (for me ) the box is empty, and all those books are already gone. But great news for all my readers who pre-ordered their book. Cause they all hit the mail yesterday.  Thank you friends! Needless to say, I underestimated how many of you wanted a signed copy.

I wasn’t sure if I should highlight my own book on Book recommendation Thursday, but then I said to myself, “Hello! You liked it enough to write it, right?” Well, yeah. And I really wanted to show you the box-o-books!

If you haven’t ordered it yet, all the retail links are to the right hand side of the page. If you want to order a signed copy go here. It will be a few weeks however, because I have to wait for the next print run to arrive.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me with this adventure. It really is totally cool, even when my best friend is embarrassing me because she’s telling everyone at the bar and dinner all about how I wrote a book.  🙂

Blurb:

Jade loves her new apartment  ̶ until a ghost joins her in the shower.

When empath Jade Calhoun moves into an apartment above a strip bar on Bourbon Street, she expects life to get interesting. What she doesn’t count on is making friends with an exotic dancer, attracting a powerful spirit, and having feelings for Kane, her sexy landlord.

Being an empath has never been easy on Jade’s relationships. It’s no wonder she keeps her gift a secret. But when the ghost moves from spooking Jade, to terrorizing Pyper, the dancer, it’s up to Jade to use her unique ability to save her. Except she’ll need Kane’s help—and he’s betrayed her with a secret of his own—to do it. Can she find a way to trust him and herself before Pyper is lost?

UPS and Something I’ve been waiting for–Favorite things Monday

Yes! I spent my morning anxiously waiting for UPS to get here. My office is in the front of the house, and the blinds are wide open. You’d think with the dogs always on the lookout for strangers they’d bark right? They usually do.

But, no. Neither dog barked. My UPS man did not ring my doorbell like usual and I did not hear the truck. I have no idea what time he got here or how long my book was waiting for me on the front steps.

But it’s here!

It’s a true testament to my willpower that I didn’t run around screaming through the house. You see, Greg was in the studio and had I created a ruckus, that might have proved to be dangerous since he was working with hot glass at the time.

Instead, I sent an email with a lot of !!!! to Lisa Liddy, my book designer, who is undoubtedly wondering why in the heck I haven’t been posting all over Facebook, Twitter, and any other place I can randomly spew with glee.

I was just busy getting the efiles ready to go. I’ll let you know as soon as they show up in the various outlets (a few days I think).

In the meantime, you can now pre-order a signed copy of the book from right here. I ordered a small print run because I’ve had requests. They should be here early next week and as soon as they get here, I’ll be getting the handy pen ready and shipping them out.

Whooo hooo! Finally.
